Terms of Use
Last updated: June 2026
1. About TeacherPortfolio
TeacherPortfolio is an online portfolio builder that helps educators create a professional public profile, showcase experience, projects, resume, cover letter, and supporting documents, and share one portfolio link with schools or employers.
2. Accounts
You may need an account to create, edit, save, and publish your portfolio. You are responsible for keeping your login information secure and for any activity that happens under your account.
3. User Content
You are responsible for the information, files, links, images, and documents you add to your portfolio. This includes your bio, experience, projects, resume, cover letter, recommendation letters, certificates, transcripts, and other supporting materials.
You agree not to upload or publish content that:
- You do not have the right to use or share.
- Is false, misleading, defamatory, harmful, illegal, or abusive.
- Contains sensitive personal information that should not be public.
- Violates another person’s privacy, intellectual property, or legal rights.
4. Public Portfolio Links
Your public portfolio link may be accessible to anyone who has the link. You are responsible for reviewing your portfolio before sharing it and for removing anything you do not want others to see.
5. Free and Pro Access
TeacherPortfolio may offer free and paid features. Free access may include a basic teacher profile, limited projects, resume/CV, cover letter, and other core portfolio tools. Pro access may include additional projects, experience entries, recommendation letters, certificates, transcripts, and supporting documents.
Features may be improved, changed, added, or removed over time as the service develops.
6. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. TeacherPortfolio does not store your full credit card details. When you purchase Pro access, Stripe processes the payment and TeacherPortfolio updates your account access after successful payment.
7. Refunds
Refunds are handled according to our Refund Policy. Because TeacherPortfolio Pro is a digital service, refund eligibility may depend on whether the service has been accessed, activated, or used.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the service. This includes:
- Attempting to hack, disrupt, overload, or damage the service.
- Using the service for spam, fraud, impersonation, or unlawful activity.
- Uploading malicious files or harmful links.
- Trying to bypass plan limits, payment systems, or security rules.
9. Availability
We work to keep TeacherPortfolio available and reliable, but we do not guarantee that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
10. No Employment Guarantee
TeacherPortfolio helps users present their professional experience and application materials, but it does not guarantee interviews, employment, sponsorship, job offers, admissions, or professional outcomes.
11. Intellectual Property
TeacherPortfolio’s design, branding, software structure, and service features belong to TeacherPortfolio or its creator. You keep ownership of the content you create and upload, but you give TeacherPortfolio permission to store, process, and display that content as needed to provide the service.
12. Account or Content Removal
We may suspend, restrict, or remove accounts or content that violate these Terms, create security risks, or misuse the service.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, TeacherPortfolio is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including missed opportunities, data loss, or employment outcomes.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above.
